THE ROLE OF COLORS – PART 2

It is not today that everyone knows the meaning of nuclei in interior architecture. They are not decorative elements but architectural elements. As colors used in architecture can enrich our sensory and emotional senses.

Secondary colors: Secondary colors are originated from a mixture of two primary colors in equal proportions: green (blue and yellow), orange (yellow and red) and purple (red and blue).

GREEN

It is a color that represents the nature. Symbolizing growth, harmony, freshness, and a fertility, green has strong emotional correspondence with a safety. Dark green is also commonly associated with money.

Green is a color that calms and brings balance to our body and our spirit. When used in times of depression and sadness, it can bring comfort and stimulation.

In bathrooms, it is much used to bring good energies.

ORANGE

The orange is the result of the mixture of red and yellow which are considered primary colors. This color means joy, vitality, prosperity and success. It is associated with creativity, to awaken the mind and to assist in the process of assimilation of new ideas.

Orange reminds of summer, fun, warmth and positive attitudes, but if it is overused can lead to nervousness, anxiety and discontent. Like red, orange is considered a warm color, and when used in kitchens, for example, it can stimulate appetite and propensities to dialogues.

PURPLE

Purple is connected to the mystical world, and there comes a significant spirituality, magic and mystery. Although it imparts a sense of sadness and introspection, it stimulates the spiritual side, purifying the body and a mind, releasing fears and other anxieties. It is considered a color of transformation.

If used in excess, purple can lead to restlessness and depression.
